Social Events
Members of Alberta Gold Show Chorus enjoy being part of a diverse sisterhood of women who share one common bond: A Love of Harmony !
Social Events:
During the year we have several opportunities to meet with our fellow Chorus members and share a social evening. Many of these events are held on Monday nights but they can be held at other times too.
Chorus Events:
- The last Monday of every month, a few Chorus members are asked to bring cookies or squares and we spend ½ hour after rehearsal in chatting with our friends.
- In Calgary, the barbershop community holds a once a year 'Barbershop' night where all of
 the city's barbershop choruses, men's and women's, get together and socialize and sing for each other.
- In May or June we hold a members only dinner at a community facility. We eat, sing and sometimes there is added entertainment or fun activities planned.
- Every Year at regional Competition the hosting chorus holds an 'Afterglow' party. When all the competing is over it's a chance to meet our regional sisters in harmony and, of course sing with, or for, each other.
- Early December we hold our Christmas party. We reserve a banquet room and have a special holiday dinner. Of course, we sing and we do a fun gift exchange.
- Special occasions throughout the year are also a reason to celebrate together. Occasions such as milestone birthdays, baby showers, weddings and special anniversaries bring us together as friends.
Throughout the year we get together, to sing, laugh and ....develop life long friendships!
